Margaret “Aunty Dolly” Kihe Asprer, 79, of Ocean View died Sept. 15 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Napoopoo, she was a lead laundry attendant at the Mauna Lani Resort. Celebration of life noon Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Old Kona Airport Park, first small pavilion, in Kailua-Kona. Survived by hanai daughter, Kristy (Rolando) Asprer of Las Vegas; hanai son, Godfrey “Baba” Kihe of Hookena; sister-in-law, Merline Kihe; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Margaret “Peggy” Louise Luscomb, 74, of Waimea died Sept. 23 in Waimea. Born in Hilo, she was an elementary school teacher. Celebration of life at a later date. Cynthia “Cindi” Jean Medeiros, 66, of Kapaau died Sept. 15 at home. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she was an educational assistant at Kohala Middle School. Judy Lynn (Thomas) Neeson, 76, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 12 in Barcelona, Spain. Born in Burbank, Calif., she obtained her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and was a social worker at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Eugene Tavares, 88, of Honokaa died Aug. 14 at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua in Honokaa.
